Policies

This page highlights some of the policies found in our student handbook and newsletters

Weather Conditions:

* If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, a recorded message will be available on the office line after 3:00 PM. ....... The office Number is (724)493-1621. Notification will also be posted on the Studio web page (Time permitting).

* Make up classes and times will be given on the recorded message and posted on the studio web page.

* The studio does not automatically close when schools do.

* Closings will not be announced on the TV, or radio.

* Due to the excessive number of calls we receive during inclement weather, we will not be returning phone messages asking if the studio is open.

* In case of snowy conditions during classes: If it begins to snow while classes are in session; students that drive themselves to class may be dismissed immediately and are asked to call the studio when they arrive home. Parents of younger students are welcome to pick up their dancers at any time due to concerns about the road conditions.

Dress Code:

* Hair must be neatly combed and pulled away from the face and neck. Longer hair should be secured in a bun or braid..

* Intermediate students are required to wear their hair in bun at all times.

Creative Movement and Pre-Dance / Beginner Dance Classes:

* Scoop neck leotard

* Ballet pink tights

* Pink leather ballet slippers

* Creative Movement - Tan tap shoes

* Pre-Dance and Beginner Dance - Tan Mary Jane style tap shoes

Intermediate Classes:

* Scoop or v-neck leotard

* Pink convertible tights

* Pink leather or canvas ballet slippers

* Dance skirts or wraps ( skirts may NOT be attached to leotards)

* Intermediate I and II Tap Classes -"Mary Jane" style tap shoes with TeleTone Taps required

* Intermediate III Tap Classes - Character style tap shoes required

Male Dress Code for All Classes:

* Gym shorts - must be at least 2'' above knee, or,

* Black Jazz pants (no sweats)

* Solid colored t-shirt - must not be tucked in and not too baggy

* Black jazz or ballet slippers

Registration:

* Registration forms are to be completed prior to the beginning of classes

* A non-refundable registration fee of $15.00 per student / per year must accompany your registration form

* Students register for the entire year : 37 weeks of classes

* Start date for the 2007 - 2008 session is September 4, 2007

Tuition Schedule:

* Lesson rates are based on 37 weeks of classes beginning after Labor day and ending with the recital by the second week of June

* Tuition may be paid in full at the beginning of the term, those paying in full will receive a 10% discount

* Monthly installments are based on a 10 month payment plan

* Sibling discounts are as follows: 1st student full price, 2nd student 25%, 3rd student 35%, and 4th student 50%

 

NOTE: Tuition is non-refundable / non-transferable and is based upon a set price for the term regardless of the students class attendance.
